Vladimir Drachev was elected to the post of President of the Russian Biathlon Union

Russian Biathlon Union would like to announce, that by a majority of votes Vladimir Drachev was elected to the post of President of the Russian Biathlon Union for a period of four years. The elections were held within an annual RBU conference on May 18th in Tyumen.

There were three RBU presidential candidates: Dmitry Alexashin, a member of the RBU Executive Board, vice-president for cooperation with regional organizations, Viktor Maigurov, two-time Olympic medalist, three-time World Champion, vice-president of the RBU for international relations, and Vladimir Drachev — two-time medalist of the Olympic Games, multiple-time World Champion, deputy of the State Duma.

Vladimir Drachev was elected to the post of President of the Russian Biathlon Union by a majority of votes of the Conference delegates in the third round.
